Cafe Cortina Wedding

5.0 My husband and I and our families are beyond grateful for the generosity of Rina and the rest of the staff at Cafe Cortina. Everything was breathtakingly beautiful. The food was beyond delicious. The service exceeded our expectations. Our guests were completely blown away, and many said that this was the best wedding food and service they’ve ever experienced–and the best food and service, period. One of my aunts commented that she’s never been to a wedding where the waitstaff actually placed the napkin on her lap and kept water glass full. A friend said that she felt like she was a special guest at the restaurant, as opposed to most weddings where you don’t really receive personal attention from the staff. People raved about every single course, and my mom is still getting phone calls from family and friends who say that they’ll be coming back to the restaurant to dine.Throughout this whole process, Rina was patient with my fiance and I; not only were we planning the wedding from out of state, but we kept going back and forth about the kind of wedding we wanted to have (more guests or less? dancing or not? lunch or dinner?). She gave us many option to accommodate our wishes and needs. I highly recommend Rina and Cafe Cortina for out of state brides (and in state, too, obviously, but she’s very flexible and effective at working with brides who can’t come to the restaurant in person very often). We didn’t happen to use these vendors because we already had found our own, but Rina can even suggest vendors for you, from flowers to cakes, to officiants. It’s a really unique wedding venue, too; the garden patio is lovely, the dining rooms are both beautiful and don’t really require much additional decoration (no need to spend money on chair covers or elaborate centerpieces). And most importantly (at least in our opinion) your wedding food will not be “wedding food”–it’s high quality, made to order, delicious food that you and your guests will love. Cafe Cortina Wedding

Located in an Italian countryside vineyard setting in Farmington Hills, Michigan. In its nearly four decade long history, Café Cortina has consistently strived to be more than just a restaurant. Founded on the site of a former apple orchard in 1976 by the Tonon family, Café Cortina started out as a “best kept secret” restaurant that has turned into a foodie destination. Passion for people, 'true' Italian flavors, genuine hospitality, and an inspired philosophy of making a positive difference in their local community and beyond is what drives all at Cafe Cortina each and every day.Celebrations of life continue daily at this artisan destination. Today many unique weddings and ceremonies take place on the vine covered patios and by the fireplace

Cafe Cortina Wedding

Chantelle and Brian tied the knot at Cafe Cortina in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. For those of you who’ve not been here you’re missing out, This is fine Italian dinning at its best. When I arrived to their Cafe Cortina wedding I was in awe of the stunning floral scapes, amazing color pallet and all the little DYI touches the couple had added to make this wedding truly unique! I chatted with Chantelle’s mother who revealed the surprise of the extra large favor boxes. She explained that Chantelle and herself were up late putting the finishing touches into these heart felt boxes. They included a cocktail set for two, scones with mini size homemade jams, fresh clementines and sliver knifes and spoons for spreading and mixing.

Cafe Cortina Wedding

Went to the cafe cortina for the first time for our 48th anniversary. I had won a gift certificate from “Hour” magazine for an article that I wrote. We went for lunch to stretch our gift certificate and were not dissapointed. Prawns in citrus olive oil, cortina salad with an elegant buttermilk oil and vinegar dressing,a sausage pannini and a top sirloin steak fit the bill. For dessert Mille fuille chocolate and coffee which was excellant. I had a little silver skin in my steak but it wasn't advertised as a fillet, still a generous portion. We were the only ones seated in the lovely patio at noon on a Tuesday. This is a classy place and even Al Pacino dines here when in town. We will return soon!
